    Idiots Guide - Examples

Reading a few posts on here, it seems people are getting very excited over API

I'll speak for the tech thickies and admit, its all a little over my head...... ie as high as the Moon

Could someone in layman's terms briefly explain what its about?

What can it do and what features is could potentially bring?

    Wayne,

I think there are plenty of us who lack that bit of knowledge to understand the capabilities of this.
I will be taking some time to find out after the Christmas rush.

My understanding - so far - is that it will enable other databases to swap specified data in a clever way with the BP database, so that things such as stock levels, prices etc can be shared 'seamlessly' and prevent the need for you to have to manually update other databases that you might use.

    But I'm not sure.

Not a lot of help I know.

    Chris

I'd like to do the following:

      Link Helpscout and BP.
Link Adwords to BP so that if a product goes out of stock in a set time period it turns the ad off, then restarts once back in stock.
Connect to my courier for easy data transfer.
Stock control over BP sites. - obviously done.
      Regards

      Neil.

Just to add to that list I would also like to link to cloud accounting software (Xero/Freeagent etc)

What about linking to google merchant center. That is something that would benefit everyone.

Nothing wrong with csv import on that tho, although am sure would be easy enough.
