    Help Scout

Has anyone got the API working with Helpscout yet? See http://developer.helpscout.net/custom-apps/

looks like a very simple job for the right person. We would just want help scout to display name, phone and address info for any given email address, perhaps with a link back to the user in BP.

Yay, thanks Rich. In case anyone is wondering, paid Helpscout is USD15 a month.

            oooo, super!

Unfortunately it means i'll have to start paying. I was one of the first to use helpscout and the free version in those days were much much better offer than the free version you get today. oh well, needs must.
            Regards

            Neil.

We are actually now using this ourselves to manage Bluepark Billing, Sales and Support. It is indeed a good service.

We used the paid service for a while, it was great for the automation you get with incoming emails.

We're also on the paid version, & the templates are also a massive time saver for us.

The workflows are very powerful. It's simple but very effective. We actually use the simple format which I think is more personable than the fancy template.

By linking with the api - is it possible to see the customer orders via links from helpscout?
                      Regards

Is anyone else having problems with the email forwarding in the back office, I am unable to Help Scout as the forwarding doesn't work and it is used to on the initial config.

Is it possible to use this link with more than one BP site on a single HS account? If so how would I go about it? If not any way to link up user accounts using the BP to BP API?

Also it would be good if you could click on the user's details on HS to visit the user in BP.

We are looking at Help Scout as a possible email solution. Before we go ahead, has anyone integrated this with Bluepark, and what does the integration give you on the Help Scout dashboard or email window? Does the Bluepark customer profile appear alongside the Help Scout email window? Also does it have the total customer spend, number of orders taken previously etc?

The helpscout integration draws the customers name, address and telephone number across so you can easily identify then and call them if necessary.

I have used help scout for 2 weeks with my team and the results are amazing compared with standard emails. Using workflows, the API and the Hip Chat plugin has revolutionised our workday and the way we communicate with customers and each other.
