    Maestro 3D secure update

We currently do not accept Maestro on our website due to 3D secure (we do not want to loose any customers).

If a customer calls and wants to pay by Maestro we enable the Maestro setting via BP and take the payment over the phone (by-passing 3D secure). We then turn off the Maestro setting so no one can use 3D secure on our website.

I have just read the following information that migh be of some interest to you:

    3DSecure with Maestro

Barclaycard Merchant Services have been writing to their clients informing them of the need to use MasterCard SecureCode for all Maestro E-commerce transactions. Failure to do so may result in fines. MasterCard SecureCode is grouped under the term 3DSecure along with Verified by Visa, and is the new authentication service provided by card issuers to check the card holder is who they claim to be.
If your acquiring bank is Barclaycard Merchant Services, and you wish to set up 3DSecure, you will need to apply to Barclaycard and then send us the 3DSecure registration information supplied by the bank so that we can enable this on your account. The banks can take up to 14 days to register a business, so it is important that any merchants not currently set up with 3DSecure speak to their bank with some urgency. If your merchant account is with any acquirer other than Barclaycard, you will need to register for 3DSecure via us. To do so please contact our support team to request the relevant registration form.

I know by speaking to rich that he is working on having bluepark work with the Sage Pay MOTO facility which will alleviate this problem.

I would advise anyone else in a similar situation to us, to get a MOTO account so you will not run into any problems with your merchant bank.
