    Notification Requests

    A belated HNY!

Looking at notification requests today in sales statistics and I have noticed several products which are in stock, yet the requests are still showing.

So the question is, when an item is back in stock an automated email is sent yes? When this happens should the entry here in notification requests be cleared?

Next question, is there a point at which these entries are cleared off (e.g. older than 12 months) or an automated way of politly indicating the item is no longer available.

Oh, if its useful for anyone else, just found out that we can access the email addresses for the requests by clicking the number of requests. Here lies a manual solution to the last question as we can cut & paste this into a simple email.

    Regards

    Hi Jonathan

Happy New Year to you too. The answer to your first question is yes, the email address attached to the notification request does get cleared, normally. I looked at our requests, and none of them are for products with stock. Have you changed anything in the product, such as the SKU?

I'm not aware of any function to clear these after a certain period, though there could be a BP housekeeping process that does this?

    Regards

      Thanks for the quick reply.

I did double check SKU's prior to posting the question, but I followed the product link from the notification request itself and it's in stock (so still investigating)!

Perhaps a feature request would be to have little flags on each entry (red for waiting for response and green for actioned, or something like that). The list should be ordered by these flags so that the ones which need action are at the top.

        Hi Jonathan.

        Happy New Year!

Have you maybe switched the notification requests off at some point? So when the stock got booked on it did not send the emails!

Can not think of any other reason and it does seem to be working ok for us.
        Regards,

        Dave
