Oooh, I like the new Order in Progress Information

I was just checking my orders in progress and an enhancement suddenly appeared! You can now see how many attempts were made by the user and the reasons for a failure. A really useful tool for helping customers when they have a problem.

Where does it tell you the reasons for failure? I can see the number of attempts thing but it doesn't seem to click through to a pop up or say why an order failed? 99% of the orders on that page say 0 and one says 5 attempts made but I can't get at any other info?

Maybe it's something Rich is working on at the moment and is switching it on and off to test?

if you goto the orders in progress and hit the order number, it shows what items in basket and the reason for failure under it.

also shows the number of attmepts in the main inprogress screen next to the email address

OK maybe this only applies to new orders placed after the modification has been made. That would make sense so perhaps I will see a difference on the next rejected order.

Funnily enough, we have two websites and only one is showing the new version. There are failed orders on both from 10th March, but only one site shows the reason against them. I think Dave might be right in that a new abandoned order triggers the enhancement as the one that is showing the new details had an abandoned order today as well as from 10th March.

There are some big changes coming, that's one of the little ones, but it's not currently on all servers. Expect a large update either over the weekend or early next week!
