    Stock and "availability" message

Is it possible to have the "availability" message only show on products that are discontinued ?

Can you expand a bit more on exactly what you want to show for in stock, out of stock and discontinued products please?
    Regards,

    Dave

        In language manager under Product...

Product :: Availability :: In Stock (place text here)
Product :: Availability :: Discontinued (you can put text here.)

If you go into site-->configuration-->product you can select "Quantity In Stock Display" to be none. So basically regardless of stock level and status it will not display ANYTHING

For your discontinued products I would then suggest you use the additional content box to display your own discontinued message. Anything entered in the additional content box will appear either above or below the product price, options and attributes depending on how your page is configured.

This is the only I can think of doing it.
          Regards,

          Dave

I have changed mine in the language manager, with mine, if it is in stock it means it has been discontinued and I can no longer get the item so it says 'In stock - delivery 1-4 working days'. You could put 'In stock - discontinued item'.

If something is not in stock but available to order I use SPO in the Qty and have changed it to 'Available to order, dispatch in 5-10 working days'.

If the item is something you have in stock continuously but have no set qty, you could do what I have done on another range, set the Quantity to 0 and change the 'No Stock' message to In Stock.

I appreciate everyone does this differently but this seems to work for me.

                I've followed Dave's instructions...no problem.

                I've still got a text message on the product page i'd like to get rid of;
"Notify me when this item is available"

                Any ideas?

                  Hi,

Welcome to Bluepark & the Forum.

Go into site-->configuration-->product and untick Item Availability Notifications
