Orders in progress and stock

I just had a quick Q about stocks and orders in progress- Im assuming that stock levels aren't altered in the system until an order moves through to the order manager and that stock isnt kept on reserve for orders in progress?

Yeah thats correct - once the order is received, and you change payment to completed from pending, the stock level then alters.

Stock level doesn't change for people who add to basket but don't checkout
