How do I export a spreadsheet of sales please?

I wonder if someone could help.

I am on the 'orders' page and in 'order manager' and I can see there is a logo on the right that gives me a download of sales in CSV format. I have downloaded this and clicked on the X (Excel logo) that comes in afterwards, but all I get is the option to save it as text file but that is no good to me, I need it in excel format so I can delete the columns I do not need for easy reference.

I know I have downloaded one before but my poor brain is a bit frazzled tonight and I cannot remember how to do it.

Can someone please help and explain how I download all sales into a spreadsheet, with columns, that I can delete, please.

Hey

When you get the green excel logo, do not click to open it (that opens in txt file) but right click and go save link as - this will download and save it as a csv so you can edit it in excel
