Special Price through certain adwords

Hi Everyone

I would like to present customers with lower prices when they click to our site through certain ad words. Is there anyway I can achieve this. I'm not really after applying a discount in the basket, but lower prices on the site. Can I configure a URL to do this? If not how could I go about it?

Basically I'm trying to kill a competitor (grey importer) who's using a brand name as a key word.

There is no way to achieve this.

I would think around the lines of:


Create a second sku (P/n extension, lets’s say ”-x”) with a different price. Everything else could be the same as your main product. The landing page would be this new product number. You would also overcome the legal issue of price splitting


In terms of navigation on your website, change the status of this second item to red flag (i.e. inactive). The prospect coming via Google adwords will find your product as it is linked to a landing page.


An issue to overcome would be the stock management (for original product and second product) – you would have to do this manually.

I've always understood that you can not order a red flagged product, i have never managed to do it in my tests.

Yes, you're right.
I was under the impression, if you get an Add-to-basket button, you can order.

so my navigational suggestion changes: keep both skus active, but in different product groups, so they don't appear side by side.
