Add to basket, stay on page

Hi all, first off I've just joined so let me introduce myself, I'm Adrian. Hope you are all well. I have a question about the add to basket, stay on page function. It works as I'd expect with the exception that when you do add something to your basket the options list is refreshed and the defaults are reselected which is very annoying. Is there an option somewhere or a way that I've missed to stop this behaviour or is it this way by design? Any help with this matter is appreciated. Regards.
    Regards,

    Adrian

You have no idea how many times this catches our customers out when they order say one item in white and one in black but select the default value rather then their correct size.

So, we have customers ordering 1 x size 10 pants and 1 x size 20!! Sometimes these mistakes are obvious and we contact the customer just to make sure, but you are correct it is a real pain and we have found no way around it, perhaps Rich can help?

Set it to "View basket" which avoids any confusion and is more logical with regard navigation.

Thanks for your replies, Andy, Red Devil. For the moment, it has been set to view basket which is not idea for us but is the most logical choice. Also when in this mode (view basket) you can actually use your back button on the browser and it will remember (obviously as it's cached) your last choice which is what we want, but I would think your average user will end up using the continue shopping button which will reset everything.
        Regards,

        Adrian

In Options Manager for that Option, TICK the box that says "No default selection" then they will have to choose one every time.

Never think anything till you've tested it, and tested it again! - even the colour of your buttons makes a difference.
