Feature Request - Improvements to Discounts

I hope now that the product tabs and picture zooms have been implemented that we can see an improvement to the discounting features we can offer. Don't get me wrong I hate to discount as a store owner but in the current financial climate it is an essential tool.

Improvements I'd like to see include the following but hopefully others will have ideas too.

1) Social share - immediate in basket discount applied.

2) Buy one get one half price - I know we can offer a buy one get one free but this is too rich for us, we can't afford to do it.

3) Refer a friend for additional loyalty points or discounts.

4) The ability to add bonus loyalty points to certain products.

5) The ability to offer say double bonus points as a promotion.

If anyone else has any other suggestions please feel free to add them here.

We would also like to see this as a next update. Just to add to the list of suggestions...

We would like to be able to offer loyalty points (set by admin) for product reviews. So when a user logs in and makes a review points are added to their account automatically.

We would also like this with a tweak to the loyalty points giving an extra decimal place in the value. We cannot justify a point being worth 1p as this will eat into our margins too much where as 0.5p would work out ok.

We would like to make more of the Loyalty Points, so refer a friend, rewards for leaving reviews and having promotions where you can give people 100 extra points/double loyalty points this week only for example.

We'd like buy x get one free where we could define x according the promotion we decide to run. Like ICEGEMS, we wouldn't be able to stretch to buy one get one free (it would cost us money rather than allow us to make any!), and even buy two get one free would be too much for some products so we'd like a bit more flexibility.

Thats great news Rich! I too feel limited by the discounting options. Buy 1 get 1 half price and Buy 5 for 4 are ones we would love, as well as bonus loyalty points and refer a friend bonuses
