using product variables in page description

Does anyone know if it is possible to get product variables to work on the page content, example I would like to use %product_title for some content in my tabs, being able to use variables would be alot quicker as I could simply copy & paste and the correct info would then be displayed!

Has anyone managed to get this to work?

Umm, Thats very odd it wont work for me!

I am trying to use the var %product_title in the page content field, doing it using the source & not wysiwyg editor but all that is displayed on my page content is the text "%product_title" what could i be doing wrong?

Cant look at the code I am using because I'm away at the moment and wont be back until Thursday. But I have used the title variable in my product tabs without any problems.

I have also tried using the %product_title without the <h3> & <strong> tags

Is this possible? I have an 'Ask a question about...' form in my additional content on the product pages and I would like to use the %product_title variable as a header above the form i.e. 'Ask a question about %product_title'

I know I could always say 'Ask a question about this product' but I just thought it would look neater if it specified what the product was.
