JQuery slideshow

Hi guys,

I've seen on other websites a kind of slideshow of images fading from one image to the next. I've been looking for some way of doing this that doesn't involve using flash, and I've discovered the JQuery slides extension for Dreamweaver. Being a bit thick at coding etc I managed to create the slideshow I wanted, but when it comes to copying and pasting the html into my block on my site, it doesn’t work.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong? Previous flash images etc I used to simply copy and paste or use the insert option to get the thing to display in the block.

Can you use the image-slide show block?

on http://www.pardonmyfrench.co.uk/ I used the Slideshow block and spanned the central block in the Layout editor, it's really easy to use and edit.

Daniel and Shelley correct. This was an update back in July of last year. This is the info from the latest update news

"There is one more NEW block, and this is the Slideshow block. You can assign as many images as you wish, you can provide optional links for these images when clicked, and you can sort them in the order you want them to appear. The default transition effect for this block is the fade effect, but there are further display options along with the ability to specify how quickly the transition takes place, the delay between transitions and whether the sequence should pause when hovering the mouse over an image. This feature finally removes the need for 3rd party JavaScript solutions to displaying fading images on the site."

It was indeed July. Might be worth reading through the latest updates to see what else you might be missing out on
