    Site > Config > Site

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see a box that says "IP Addresses to Ban". Just type the IP addresses / numbers in there and remember to save the page

I don't know if you can do that. I think you can only ban either individual ip addresses or whole countries.

Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me will come along soon !

Google bots ip varies, I would seriously never even think about blocking an american IP as chances are you will be blocking google bot at some point and you do not want to do that..........

Are you 100000000000000% certain the ip you want to ban is not google and that google does not crawl from that state........... I see the bot on the site all the time and and often 3-4 at a time within seconds all on the same page from different ip's, some will be google bot and sometimes actual people will have a look from the google team.

If you decide to ban something in the us good luck and please make sure you are sure it has nothing what so ever to do with google or you may end up with your site falling off google in a matter of weeks......

I wouldn't ban ALL US IP addresses - that's not a good idea.

Give us an example of the one(s) you want to ban and why.

Do you REALLY want to ban the probably millions of people in this country that have US IP addresses? just because the service provider servers are in the US, it doesn't mean the people are.

This is for who can buy from you, not who can visit your site.

I'm still confused as to why you need to ban ANY IP addresses? What harm are they causing?

I think I will wait until I see what the traffic figures are after a month - maybe jumping the gun a bit
