Google Product Food - working but not showing if you search in googl shopping

Hi after a month of tearing my hair out with google, I got some help and my product feed now works.
We've uploaded just 6 products and they are verified and all is wonderful ... this was yesterday
Today I have just done a quick product search on google and couldn't find us, I narrowed the search down by clicking new products and we're not there.
Have we missed the point do we need to link this to adwords?

yes I thought this, but I just can't see anything in adwords to setup anything for google shopping. I'm sure I'm missing something basic, (like a brain! )
      Thank you

You set the campaign type to shopping.

As usual with Google actually operating your campaign is complicated unless you are happy to bid the same price for each product and are not too worried about seeing which ones perform

Not really you can easily open out to bid per product or group of products, you can use custom fields to bid on your best sellers, just need to spend a bit of time looking, you can go through a lot of money while experimenting though.

Start with a small selection and work your way in as you feel comfortable.
