    Klarna

    Hi,

Has anyone integrated with Klarna yet ?
I put the API Credentials into the Payment Integrations in BP, but clicking on the Klarna option that then appeared in Checkout did nothing but return a checkout screen with the Klarna option then removed ... (I've currently made inactive so doesn't show at all now).

    Thanks,
    Darren - www.anniescloset.co.uk

    Hi,
We have been using since the integration came live. Which option did you choose when setting your Klarna account up?
if you selected the Klarna checkout option this does not work with BP you need to select any or all 3 of the separate payment methods. We had the same issue at the start.

      Thanks Nathan,

That could well be what I did ... Looks like fees are higher when you don't choose that option, so will probably leave it because of that.

      Cheers,

Just a thought, how does Klarna work with refunds? Both from a practical point of view, and a legal point of view (right to cancel order within 14 days etc)?

We issued our first refund with Klarna today, and just processed as we would a normal refund. The refund has gone through on the Klarna orders page, we're now just waiting for the next settlement to seee if they have charged us any fees for that transaction.

I would assume the right to cancel would be exactly the same.

Though something that does worry us, is the fact that Klarna class returns as a dispute, and they keep sending us emails about how they charge for disputes. We can only hope that any Klarna users contact us as everyone else does re returns rather than jumping straight to Klarna and raising a dispute. We will have to wait and see.

Hi Im considering Klarna (slightly against my better judgement) but I feel I should give it a go to see it if increases sales at all. Is there any update from anybody using it and how its working out for them. The things that concern me are the unpleasant pink and black logo etc that will be on my site plus making life a little more complicated but if it increases sales it might be worth the sacrifice?

How are people getting on with it?

            Kim

We used Klarna on one of our sites. It didn't seem to increase conversions at all. Though we did find it was the same customers who kept using it repeatedly.

If I remember rightly you can alter the look of the logos that show on the product pages.

On our other site we are not using Klarna as our products are much lower in price and the fee percentage taken would work out too high.

You could always try it out for a few months and see what happens, and if it turns out it makes no difference or is hardly used, then you can stop offering it.

thank you for your feedback cheese mouse, ive been weighing it up, its quite a big fee, plus the way it shows on the product page etc does push people towards klarna than other payment methods in my view which im not keen on. They dont seem to have great reviews on trust pilot either and I do prefer to deal with organisations who you can speak to when you need to, although this is getting rarer and rarer these days it seems!

We had no issues with them, so never had any need to contact them.

The only issue we did have was with the payouts, but that was due to our bank.

Santander would put a 3 day hold onto the incoming payments from Klarna, so it would show in our account but not be available - they claimed it was for "security reasons" and was a "random check", yet it happened to every payment from Klarna. We switched banks and it never happened again, so for some reason Santander does not like Klarna.

Re the fees. We found they worked out at approxiamtely the same as Paypal for a £25 - £30 order.
