    Loyalty Points & Refunds

    Hi

I just noticed something this morning. I had completed an order for a customer where there was a refund on one item which we could not ship. I happened to go into User Manager and because it was the last order processed and he was a new customer so the latest registered user, his detail was at the top of the list and there it was! Points allocated for the whole order!

Does anyone know how can this be changed to reflect actual end value of the order?

Gill, we have been manually adjusting the User Loyalty points when we receive a return, cancellation etc.

We have been doing this since we started the scheme and I am not aware of any automated points deduction process. If there is then I need to know as well!

      Hi Andy

Thanks for putting me straight. I must have missed that when we first set it up. Now I shall have to find out how to amend manually and get straight on with it today. And I thought I was going to have a day off today! Ah well it keeps me out of mischief.

        Another Loyalty Points Question

        Hi

        Can anyone answer this one?

Customer placed an order for a design she had previously ordered and returned. Rather than have the hassle of her doing it again we reminded her that it was a design she had previously returned and she then cancelled the order as we expected.

So far not a problem. But when we cancelled it we noticed that she had used some loyalty points. So then I realised that I did not know if the loyalty points in her account had already been adjusted for the order or if that only happens when the item ships. Does anyone have the answer?

          Hi Gill,

When a customer places an order and uses some of his/her loyalty points they are deducted straight away from their loyalty point balance and NOT when you complete the order.

So if you decided to refuse an order and cancel it you would have to manually add the loyalty points back to his/her account.

Snow all gone up here and the sun is shining
          Regards,

          Dave
