Checkbox on checkout page.

It's that time of year again. We want to add a checkbox to the checkout page: "I understand that I'm placing my order after the Christmas cut off and my order may not arrive until after the 25th December." We want the customer to be forced to check it before they can complete their order.

Any ideas how to implement this?

Don’t know if this is still valid but it may work. Original post was about creating purchase order number but you can use this method for anything.

When I had my old site with BP, I used to use Addtions, with a check box on every item page, with text something like 'Delayed Dispatch after 27th Decamber' if you tick the Required box, Customer will have to tick it before Add To Basket. If you on the Additions Detail page (below) where it says Selectable, you can choose 'Shopping Basket Only' so you may be able to do itthat way, I never tried, I used it on the product page (tick the 'All Products' box)
