Gift Vouchers and VAT in BP

BP has the ability to tag a product as being a Gift Voucher, so that when it is purchased is creates a voucher code. When setting up the product BP announces "VAT does not apply to gift vouchers and has been unset for this product." Trying to overide this and set the Vat manually just pings back to the message.

However, as the voucher is a Single Purpose Voucher, to be used against item sin our shop where all products have the standard 20% Vat rate, we DO want to have the Vat applied.

I don't need to worry about this as I sell some non-VATable products so not sure if this works but have you tried ticking 'VAT applies' on the 'Values' tab?
