    Christmas

I'm getting together my Christmas products and am just wondering when to begin showing these on the website.

I tend to think after October half term we get into Christmas shopping mode but maybe this is a bit late? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Looking at the high street shops, I'd say anyday now! Seriously, half of those in our high street have some kind of low-key xmas display! How about adding them as they become available in a Christmas category but making for of a feature of it mid-October?

Don't worry, we are still waiting on tons of Halloween stock. Promises that they would be ready to send in mid August to us. Mmmm. Probably mid September. Bad news.

Cats don't tend to go in for Halloween, not even the black ones

I add mine to the site as they come in, and then round about beginning of October, start to ramp it all up to making a feature of it all

Got christmas fragrances and accessories etc on my site now, in Christmas category - but not made a big deal of it yet. Even if you didnt want them to show yet, you could always put them on the site with a release date..then the prep work has all been done in a peacemeal fashion, and you wont have it all to do at once at the last minute

I started mine the other week and am adding things with an availability of 1st Oct. I have said in the text that it is a sneak peak for early shoppers.

Right, I've slipped a few xmas collars onto the site and have my christmas category hidden but with a link to it in the footer. Still just August, though and I do feel very guilty!

Yeah, me too. This is the earliest I have ever done it. But to be honest it is better this way. Other years when magazines etc... have contacted me for Xmas gift ideas I have struggled as I was not ready. Now is the time they start asking, so it has to be done. I think if people don't want to look in that category yet they don't have to

I've already noticed a lot of Christmas coloured supplies being bought from our website - lots of greens, red and creams and the gingerbread coloured felt is absolutely flying out at the moment. It takes people a long time to make up stock for all of the Christmas craft fairs so I suspect they're getting a bit of a head start.

Not so much Halloween coloured stuff, so maybe I should do a Halloween category and put all the green / orange / purple / black coloured stuff in there to give it a bit of a boost ! And do the same for the Christmas colours at the back end of September
