    Sagepay/streamline an Barclays ?

I currently use sagepay and streamline and have a separate terminal which i hardly use now I no longer have a bricks and mortar shop with the occasional payment over the phone,
it means I am paying for streamline and sagepay

I bank with barclays so was wondering whether to move to their online payment processing? one of the things I figure instead of the 3days the funds take to cach my account it would be quicker with barclays as I bank with them too? but i'm guessing it will bea cheaper too?

    does anyone else use barclays?

is it easy to implement on the site?

    thank you

Have used Barclays ePDQ in the past and it was easy to integrate. The reason we moved away to streamline and sagepay was we joined the federation of small businesses and as a result we got better rates with streamline.

We get funds from Streamline next working day but seem to remember with Barclays it was a couple of days later.

With regards the costs and whether you would be better off you need to call Barclays and see what they can offer you. As well as a percentage charge of the transaction value they may well have a standard monthly charge.

You can then compare against Streamlime / SagePay.
    Regards,

    Dave

Just found this on their website so yes there is a monthly service charge. The transaction fee shown could be different and that's why you need to call them. Noticed they were offering 1.25% if you are new to taking cards which is excellent. The rate below is also better than what we are currently paying with Streamline.

        • 1.75% per transaction fee
        • £20 per month gateway fee for 350 transactions
        • 10p per transaction over inclusive 350 transactions
        • No joining fee
        • Minimum 12 month contract
        Regards,

        Dave

I was with Barclays epdq for years but their rate was 3% plus the monthly charge. I don't think that is very competitive but the service is very good.

I just looked at a previous bill from them and it was 1.95% transaction charge plus another 1.05% ePDQ transaction fee. So basically 3% if you use Barclays for the lot.

Well maybe they have dropped the other transaction fee since you used them or perhaps it related to something else you were using. The rates I posted above were taken direct from their website.

Also check the rate for business / corporate cards.

We pay .35p debit, 1.20% personal visa/master cards and 1.80% business / corporate visa/master cards.

I included the merchant service charge.

We use SecureTrading and Barclays Merchant Account.

Barclays Merchant fees are very good, Worldpay couldn't come close even if we joined the FSB and then we pay 10p/transaction to SecureTrading. Has worked really well for us, only issue is that you can't take MOTO payments through Bluepark but that is not important for us.

I've given barclays a quick call and they are going to send more information out to me,

however one of the offers they have at the minute sounds ideal
it is £25 plus VAT for up to 150 transactions a month (most of my transactions are paypal so this would be ideal for me) there is no additional % card charge with this just a flat 25 plus VAT if you go over the 150 in a month you are charged £1.10 per transaction but this is unlikely to happen to me (I wish it would ) it also includes the pci annual charges

so basicly it would cost me the same as it costs for sagepay and would safe me the fees I pay to streamline probably around £30-£50 a month not including the pci annual charge i pay of about £60?

Sounds good and the Barclays PCI online form is really good... easy to use.
