XERO Order Import Spreadsheet

Hi all

Anyone stuck over importing BP orders into XERO since Rosetta.IO abandoned the API that used to do that?

If so then I now have an MS Excel workbook that does that job 100% guaranteed perfectly, although in a bit of an ...ummm, errr ... 'homemade' fashion.

I'm not happy to give it away as it took a fair few days of swearing like a wounded pirate to get it working properly.

Am thinking of making it a digital product on my website for £75.00 , plus a Google review, if enough people are interested.

That to include up to 1/2 hour of my time to assist with first use by telephone/TEAMS or similar.

Ran this sheet on my own BP orders today and it took 13 minutes from leaving this post to approving all imported orders in Xero to returning to this post to finish it.

Anyone interested please let me know by replying to this thread.

Eh? What?

I hadn't thought as far ahead as anyone actualy being interested, to be honest!

Most of my own orders are mixed VAT and I use the "VAT on P&P follows VAT on goods" rule too.

As I have no detected VAT probs on my own imported orders I'm confident it can handle any VAT mixes that anyone else could possibly be using equally well.

As regards loyalty points, vouchers, coupons & discounts:

There are no XERO import fields for any of those and I believe that in the BP export sheet amounts for any of these reduce the total order price

My calcs works from total price so, although they would not be itemised in XERO, the line/total prices imported to XERO would always be correct.

At this point, I'm willing to give it a go. I'm trying to use Quickbooks and it's just not how my brain works. I'm finding it intensely frustrating.

Loyalty points (and discounts) do reduce the price, yes.
Vouchers, however, due to the mixed VAT status are a form of payment, but that's not such an issue because Roseta never got that working properly so I had would pick them up at reconciliation time and manually add the vouchers.

But it's the sale of vouchers that concerns me because they have a different account code in Xero (they are "no vat" rather than Vat exempt and are, in effect, liabilities rather than sale of goods). Interestingly, the QBO API deals with that, but there's nothing in the BP order data that I can see that does, so I have no idea how an import would deal with them.

If this is a short term solution, then I can live with it. The problem is that Liam says that the Xero API isn't even at feasability yet, so I have no idea how long it will be.
