I appear to have upset someone at BP who bumped the post regarding Google? - My apologies but it is a technical Q.

Is it possible to have a DB field to add the new Google Category to feeds, which is required after September.

We got an exemption to certain product identifiers, however we then needed to add product type ie our category in full ie breadcrumb trail.. and google tell us we will need google category type as well, all this means we have to manually create the feed. something of a pain.

Hi Graham - your thread was moved to the private forum as Neil wanted to give you some private information there. There should be a redirect in the technical forum, but now you can get some public replies here as well.

Rich has moved to the private section as i didn't want any competitors seeing details of my base feed, i will post up later on how i go about it - it can nearly all be done with BP as is.

There is not a private forum, its just a private thread area. In your website admin control panel go into admin manager and make sure against the user that your forum username & forum password are entered. Then the next time you look at the forum a thread called private discussion will appear

and it worked.. after a few times remembering / resetting passwords!
