Live at last - hope you like it

My new BP shop is live at last. Well I say it is but I still can't see it as the IP address change was made this afternoon and hasn't propogated my way yet. But I am reliably informed that many people can see it.... so yay

Be gentle with the critisism as this has taken me months... but be honest too cos I want to make it as great as possible. So if you see room for improvement do please let me know. Thanks for looking.

Before I sign off after a long day I wanted to say thank you to Rich and Cate and to you fellow BPers for everything... all the help you have given me. It is much appreciated

Tomorrow I need to see how sub-domains work with xml site maps and google shopping feeds cos I have this feeling it won't be plain sailing. I have always hosted my own carts so am finding the whole sub-domain thing a bit foreign.

Hi Deefer - congratulations on going live. Your hard work has really paid off. Very good layout, easy to navigate and excellent graphics. You have a lot of text on the product page and I was wondering if, at some point, it might be worth introducing tabs and splitting the text into the tabs. I hope you sell lots - you deserve it for producing such an excellent site.

Nice job I do agree with Greg, the products tabs would tidy up the content on the products pages.

I'm not yet convinced most people know to click the tabs yet for more info!

I had a few on one site and the only way i got people to read the info was move them to the front. Need to sit down with someone and watch them place an order i think.
        Regards

        Neil.

I am sure you have herd of it, but just in case. http://www.usertesting.com/ works out at just over £20.00 a user but you get a lot of info & you can pick your user's to target.

Thanks so much for looking and for all the comments

Yeah, I was over half way through things when the tabs came about so I decided to leave it for now as I had enough on my plate finishing what I started and also becuase I am still not sure about them.

The images took ages but the buttons I have to admit I was a bit lazy with and knocked them out quickly as I was desperate to finish and had left them til last. But one of you lovely BP people had posted an article about buttons a little while ago which I read. I made my 'add to cart button' then remembered the article and made it twice as big, lol

Great site, very clean, easy one the eye and intuitive.

I don't have any pets so I'm afraid a wistful looking gorilla on the front of a book about helping animals to grieve had me chuckling - I had no idea that so many pet owners needed support in aiding their kitties through the mourning process, assuming very few of the readers have pet gorillas!

                        really nice site, good job

the only thing I'd say (and this might just be me ...) is it took me a second to work out the name, maybe if you made the word 'for' a really pale version of the blue/green it's sat on it's be easier to read?

lovely quality photography, makes such a difference to websites
