Best way to link to another web-site

Hi,

I will soon have a completely separate website to enable customers to purchase a single customisable product.
I need to have links from my main (BP) site into this sub-site, and a link so that customers can return to the main site.

Any thoughts on the best way to do this. (I am not concerned about SEO for the sub-site as it will nearly always be accessed via links from the main site. But I want to capitalise on any potential SEO for the BP site whilst avoiding any penalisation for two-way links etc.)

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Where do you want to put the link... Im no expert but if you know how to do "blocks" you could make a block and link that way...
Take a look at the bottom of my home page and you will see a banner "click to visit cross camping and leisure for camping equipment"
I cant totally remember how I did this but im sure I could figure it out if this sis the sort of thing you want.

That's helpful - I'm just trying to work out the best ways to make it easy for the customer and not to make any silly mistakes with SEO.
I notice that you don't have a link the other way?

I actually do have a link from the www.crosscamping.com site...Under the "family tents" CAT there is a link for "inflatable Tents".
I rank really well for my products etc for the www.inflatabletentsonline.co.uk website and ok ish for the www.crosscamping.com website but I have not noticed anything bad re ranking since I did both links some time ago. Do you think links like this are bad, I imagine Google are ok with it, maybe its just bad if you have loads of links back and forth from two websites.
