Hotjar and similar apps

For those of you who haven't tried it, we have found HOTJAR Free very useful - and sometimes rather fun!

For example, using Funnels, we now have a pretty accurate analysis of drop-off rates at each stage of Basket > Checkout page 1> Thank you page


Does anybody have other useful and little known tools like this?

Calum has asked me what the steps are for the funnel example I gave, and it might be worth sharing.

1. Basket. https://www.yourdomain.com/index/action/basket/

2. Checkout. https://www.yourdomain.com/checkout.html

3. Return page. https://www.yourdomain.com/checkout/action/return/

Unless I'm mistaken the no 3 URL is the page that a customer sees AFTER payment is complete. I stumbled on this somehow, and have never seen it mentioned in the Forum or in any of the Bluepark help pages, their blogs or anywhere else. Maybe I'm just an innocent and should have known this, but I can see it being very useful in other analytic apps too.

Yes, but my point is that Hotjar FREE (whilst limited) is free.

Loxta has just mentioned Publitas on another thread. Their free scheme looks good too on a quick glance.

If you use adwords another useful app to monitor for fraudulent clicks is clickcease, were using the limited free version just to see what is happening with our adwords.
