    We're live at last

It feels like months ago that we moved from a beta site to a paid for site on BP (actually I think it was...) but we have finally removed the maintenance message today.

I have to say, having previously used a Magento installation, setting up has been a breeze. Where I have been unclear, previous posts on these forums have set me straight without needing to ask for myself. So, thank you to all those who have asked/answered in the past!

I'd love any thoughts and views on our site from some of you seasoned BPers if you had the time.

    Hi Ben

Never seen bunting wall art! We sell the real thing, but that is really clever! Might have to get something groovy when we finally move house, if ever!

It all looks very good and comprehensively well thought through - well done! I haven't had an extensive look, but a couple of points:

Suggest a slightly bigger link to your facebook page than a one-liner in the footer.

Do you have a newsletter set up? It's worth doing.

          Good luck with it.

Chris, you're very kind, thank you. And two very good pointers.

I'll get on to the FB one straight away. WRT the newsletter, another good point, although I haven't really delved into the inbuilt newsletter; do people find it does the job or is a third party worthwhile (previously I've used Mailchimp.) Is there a nice and tidy way to include a simple form?
            Many thanks

And I should have thought of this too; I've just added a 10% discount code for Blueparkers: BP10. Thank you to Chris and his signature for that idea!

The built in email manager is bespoke, versatile and easy to use, and knocks spots off that tortured double opt-in and so on of Mailchimp. I binned Mailchimp the day I joined BP.

To send emails/newsletters, I find it best to build them as tables.

The newsletter sign-up form provided by BP should be flexible enough for you too.

                        Hi Toby
Many thanks indeed. I did it myself actually so feeling a mixture of chuffed & nervous about it!
                        Best wishes
