    Homepage Layout Inspiration

In the past we've designed our homepage using 2 different versions, one for desktop and one for mobile. With the V2 upgrade we're now not able to define a separate design for mobile, and I'm a little stumped on how to do it. I'm assuming blocks should play a big role as they're more suited to shifting around with different screen sizes?

I'd love to see a little inspiration from other BP sites (no copying, I promise) or just some guidelines on how to make it all work as I feel we're now missing out on mobile sales due to poor first perceptions.

    Cheers,
    Tom

I was in touch with BP about homepage design on V2 in May and they said this: "As part of V2, we are going to release a custom block, which will allow you to set the number of columns you want across and then you can add the content into each column. This will be coded in the background with DIVs, rather than tables, and therefore it will automatically be responsive. We hope to release this within the next few weeks."
Would be useful to know if there's been any progress on this block - I've not heard any more. There's also a blog post which you may not have seen

Will this change allow you to have different content blocks for desktop and mobile? Which I think is what Tom and others are wanting.

Not sure about that, but I thought the idea of V2 was to have a single design that worked on all devices.
