Email blacklist - 1,500 email bounces

I actually think BP should remove the newsletter function, it’s obvious that the lack of mail list management is harming servers reputations for order confirmations, etc, and the ease of use in designing a email is so much better.

I would hate that. Having an integrated newsletter function was part of my decision to chose BP. I have used it for years. But I do agree that the management of it is poor. I told BP years ago that I had an issue with the way unsubscribers were left as subscribers but added to an unsubscriber list. That makes no sense. On so many levels it is a strange and potentially damaging way of doing things.

I run my own list properly, taking time to manually remove all the bounces (once they have bounces 2-3 times) and unsubscribing people properly, not just leaving them on an unsubscribe list. I believe this is better management of a subscriber list but if others on a server is just sending willy-nilly then yeah, servers will get blacklisted.

BTW, I tried again today and everything sent fine so it does look like the block was listed but for how long.
